CONEXPO2023 MB Crusher Visit

Imagine working on a remote rocky jobsite, Arizona heat and a large bison herd, each weighing over 2,000 lbs.  Well, that’s a normal workday for Daniel Tuffelmire, owner of Stud Butte Bison Ranch in Chino Valley, Arizona.

Daniel oversees daily ranch operations including bison and beef cattle management, construction and soil management. MB Crusher was honored to interview Mr. Tuffelmire at our very own booth at ConExpo 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Standing in front of the live-demo area, Daniel explained why he stopped by the MB Crusher booth, “I came here today to take a look…that’s my excavator there that’s actually being used. So that’s the real deal.”

While pointing to the Caterpillar 336 E excavator with a MB Crusher BF120.4 attachment, Daniel also mentioned he owns the same BF120.4 and MB-L160 crusher buckets, as well as a MB-LS170 screening bucket.

Sustainability

“But we do have a big need for actually the aggregate itself.  For even just basically like a gravel road or a stone road. So it’s very muddy when it rains, so that’s what we’re doing with the unit,” stated Daniel.

“Actually, throughout the ranch, actually I have a bison-buffalo ranch—we’re building that out putting in roads. Using this unit to actually take some of that rock that most people think is useless, turn it into actual material that we actually put on the roads and then with the access, be able to get rid of to the nearby area, neighbors and some others. It’s sort of a hybrid-use in a way, said Daniel.

Do you need to repurpose inert material?

Remote Worksite

During the interview, Daniel describes himself as a “hybrid-user,” with a large ranch located on extremely rocky terrain.

We kind of have a good benefit. We have a lot of rock. But we also…the bad side of it is that we’re very remote. So getting material in as process, as well as getting it in to haul it somewhere is costly,” says Daniel.

MB units allows to work at remote jobsites because they simply attach to the carrier and go wherever it goes, even in the most challenging places. Whether it’s a remote pipeline, a narrow path in a quarry, a remote rural area or a place in the middle of the mountains, you can always find an MB unit that suits your heavy machine and jobsite.

MB Crusher = Cost-Effective

Daniel was asked, “So you’re giving it way to others [aggregate raw material], keeping it for yourself free of charge and selling it to others? “Yes,” “So that’s why I say it’s kind of a hybrid-use. Some for myself and some for distribution selling as well,” said Daniel.

When asked to describe MB Crusher in one word Daniel said, “cost-effective.”

We agree! MB Crusher continues to provide customers with additional ways to save money, reduce labor fees and improve efficiency. Be on the lookout for Part II of Daniel's MB Crusher Testimony!
