PT Selaras Simpati Nusantara is a heavy equipment rental and costruction services contractor based in South Sumatra, in the city of Palembang.

They have been in the industry for several years now and recently discovered, thanks to the MB Crusher Business Unit based in Indonesia, the MB range of bucket crushers for heavy machinery.

A road to connect communities

The company was assigned an important road construction project for public roadwork. The lenght of the road was about 4.4km with the aim to connect a small town to another bigger one, in the area of Dusun Belani, Musi Rawas Utara District in South Sumatra.
Our customer needed to produce a total amount of 6.600 cubical meters of stone aggregates with a size of 3cm.

The company had a few choices to fulfill the task, but each of them with some important downside.
They could either purchase the aggregate from a nearby aggregates supplier, which would result in a very costly solution.
Or, they could use a fixed crushing plant but it was not a practical solution nor a beneficial one:

the project keeps moving as the road work progresses – which means extra menpower and trucks to move the materils from/to the plant;
extra menpower to run it;
possible downtime of the plant which could delay the project.

MB Crusher's solution

At this point Mr. Susanto, from purchase dept, started reaching out for other solutions.
More in particular he was looking for a tool that could:

Attach to the heavy machines already on site
Move around the site easily;
Crush the rocks/natural materials into aggregates for the project at different output sizes;
Require simple mainteinance and less people to operate it

The road's makeover
