Kuwait to spend US$15.6bn on infrastructure in 2017-2018
The project
Kuwait is going to invest around US$15.6bn infrastructure and other projects in financial year 2017-2018.
The Country will invest in roads, housing, electricity, ports, airports, telecommunications and renewable energy and the government will contribute 49.3% of the investments. There are several strategic projects included in this big the development plan: the Sabah Al-Salem University City; Zour refinery; Kuwait Airport expansion, Terminal 2; Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge; South Al Mutlaa City; New Sabah Hospital; new buildings at Farwaniya Hospital; a new building at Adan Hospital; Sheikh Saad Al Aballah Islamic Centre in Jahra; and Kuwait Centre for rare manuscripts and publications.
