Buckle up: MB Crusher takes off in a helicopter... and the work crushes itself!
Hold onto your hard hats! MB Crusher is taking the phrase "work smarter, not harder" to dizzying new heights—literally! Buckle up as we embark on a helicopter ride.
Imagine setting up a construction site over 3,000 meters above sea level, with no roads and logistics that feel straight out of an action film. You need a smart solution—not just to transport equipment, but also to manage material supply and disposal on-site.
Why battle through traffic when you can soar to the top with MB Crusher?
That’s exactly what happened as MB Crusher’s equipment was flown into the mountains, where meticulous planning is essential. Missing supplies could take days to arrive, logistics are extreme, and the windows to get work done are challenging, and the windows for completing work are tight, leaving no room for mistakes.

Ready, set, go
First stop:
The Mont Blanc Cable Car
In the heart of Mont Blanc, on the French side, at 3,300 metres, Pugnat TP faced a unique challenge: building the platform for the new Grands Montets cable car, a monumental project featuring stations designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano.
The site was exceptional, lacking water and direct access, with a demanding mission: to process granite at 3,300 meters and reduce it on-site to avoid hauling materials and protect the landscape.
The solution? The MB Crusher BF90.3 crusher bucket, disassembled, flown to the site, reassembled at high altitude, and immediately fitted to a CAT 330 excavator.

Second stop:
Trench Filling in the Chiemgau Alps, Austria
At 1,776 meters on the Dürrnbachhorn Mountain in Austria’s Chiemgau Alps, a logistically challenging operation was underway: laying cables for supply lines.
The rocks excavated during the digging had to be crushed on-site and reused as backfill after the supply lines were installed.
Hauling materials out and bringing new ones in is nearly impossible in such remote areas, due to both high costs and environmental concerns.
The solution? The MB-L140 crusher bucket, flown directly to the site by helicopter, was perfect for the tight spaces and rugged terrain.
Once fitted to a Kaiser spider excavator, it crushed the rocks, which were then reused to fill the trenches—keeping everything local.

Third stop:
Reshaping and Protecting the Drogo River in Lombardy, Italy
Not only did MB Crusher buckets take a helicopter ride, but the latest addition to the fleet, the MB-G500 sorting grapple, made its way to the mountains of the Drogo Valley in Lombardy. Here, Fattarelli SAS was reshaping the riverbed and reinforcing the banks.
In such rugged terrain, with steep streams and slopes, a spider excavator is essential. Nicola Fattarelli emphasized that to complete these projects safely and to perfection, the MB Crusher grapple was an indispensable companion, assisting with tasks like stacking logs and rocks along the stream to build embankments and reinforcement structures.
